About conference
The Quality Assurance in Higher Education Conference has a long-standing tradition of exploring key issues related to the assurance and enhancement of quality in Czech higher education.
A decade after the initial reforms, the quality of higher education institutions is now shaped by increasingly complex processes, standards, and procedures. Decision-making regarding educational offerings is often distributed across different institutional levels, yet responsibility for the outcomes is not always transparent. This conference, therefore, focuses on how to reconceptualize quality as informed and strategic decision-making in the new decade: identifying who decides on quality, the information they rely on, their levels of responsibility, and the long-term impacts of these choices.
Special attention is given to the roles of accreditation, institutional management, and degree programme guarantorship in the context of forthcoming changes to national standards, the ESG standards, and the European framework. The aim of the conference is to cultivate expert debate on linking quality assurance with the actual management of higher education institutions and their educational offerings.
